Attempt #2
Week 14 - 30/12/2024
(Progress/Amendments from feedback session)
1. Establishing Character #2
Based on the feedback, the original color tone of the second character blends in with the background and main character, Mr Kamal suggested to switch its color palette to a brighter tone that can distinguish between both characters.

Suggestion : Over shoulder looking at main character.
Establishing second character for the the ending.
Overall comparison of both main and second character.
Figure 3.7 Background Elements (Week 14, 30/12/2024)
Elements added to different scenes to add movement in the background.
3. Breakdowns/In-betweens
Figure 3.8 Jump - Onion Skin (Week 14, 30/12/2024)
Suggestion : Add (2) more frames before and middle pose and refer to bouncing ball exercise; slow in, slow out. Figure 3.8 shows the overall animation drawings in onion skin.
4. Final
Project is amended according to feedback received on attempt #1. Below are the submission for this project :

FEEDBACK
Week 11 - 02/12/2024
Storyboard
- Idea is fine, just consider adding a last panel where it zooms out to both character's action.
Week 14 - 30/12/2024
Animation
- start - show both characters, eg pov shot; more towards a camera angle and static frame and no movement necessary to establish the other character
- run - lacking in up and down position
- jump - ensure that the scene before and the following scene starts at the action's pose, reference a running jump
- add 2 more breakdown in between taking off-middle + middle-landing, refer to bouncing ball exercise to apply slow in/out to animation; position of middle is not high enough therefore limited space to add breakdown frames
- run - repetitive from previous scene; flip to the other direction and change to the other character
- high jump landing - alter landing frame; keep the getting up animation simple and just take a step forward
- ending - change character 2 color tone, current color scheme is too similar to main character, difficult to differentiate between both
- overall - add small elements in bg, eg stone, trees, etc. to let bg move, bg looks static in current
REFLECTION
Reflecting on my journey throughout this module was a rewarding and inspiring experience. I enjoyed the process of animating different actions and challenge myself in order to achieve a desirable outcome, exploring my creativity and applying my knowledge to the project. This project provided me with a new challenge and an opportunity to challenge myself further in this field of expertise. Overall, this project was a rewarding learning experience to learn and progress further as a design student.
