Based on the feedback from Mr Kamal, we worked on the ideas that has more potential and developed the storylines based on the feedback given.

Based on the ideas presented to Mr Kamal, we narrowed down our story to a main story we would be focused on refining. The document presents important details of the story such as title, logline, characters, etc.

Story title : Embers of Hope

Meaning : Embers representing the fire and the protagonists' trauma of fire and with hope of the protagonist to overcome his trauma with courage. In short, the burning hope of the story's protagonist to overcome his trauma/fear.

With the story established in the proposal, I began working on the storyline in details and taking into account the feedback given on the entire storyline. The script is broken down into the 3 act structure based on Pixar's 12 story structure developed in the proposal.

More refinement added to the story with the feedback received from Mr Kamal and Mr Kannan during Task 2 presentation to develop and present a story that is unique and interesting.

Major changes to storyline : Instead of presenting the protagonist overcoming his trauma of the fire, the fire is presented as a character itself which adds on an antagonist to the entire story.

Based on the details throughout the idea development and story development, the details of the story is compiled into a set of slides accompanied by visually appealing graphics.

FEEDBACK

Week 2 - 19/02/2025

- consider going with the forest fire story, it is more interesting

- firefighter story is ok but need to develop the story more

Week 3 - 26/02/2025

- story is fine but its not really interesting and flat, there is not much action in act 2

- try to develop the story more especially act 2

REFLECTION

Reflecting my progression while carrying my tasks throughout this module, it was a learning opportunity for me to refine both my skills in this field of expertise as well as soft skills that will benefit me in the future. There were many challenges in terms of communication with some members due to limitation of language barrier which was challenging to clearly convey the message and expectation of the project. Hence, it has allowed me to not only grow as a person individually but also as a person that works as a team to achieve a common goal. Apart from that, the design process throughout this project has allowed me to refine and apply the skills gained in previous semesters to produce a design that is up to the requirements of this project and the lecturers. Throughout this module, the guidance of Mr Kamal and Mr Kannan have greatly benefited me in gaining more knowledge in this field of expertise and prepare me for the future in this line of work.
